Hi, my name is Lori and this is my first website. My website topic is about interpersonal relationships, and how each
of us deal with the different situations, that we will encounter in our lives. I would like to know
others thoughts and opinions on this subject.
What can make for a successful Marriage
When it comes to a successful relationship, first and formost communication is the most important.
If you do not have this, then when different situations arise this can place distance between the relationship. It is
about giving to the relationship and wanting each persons feelings to be heard. Allowing time for each other, but yet
not smothering the person. Letting each person, if needed to have some time to themself without feeling quilty.
In a marriage, it is a lot of work and if you are not willing to put into the relationship what
you are getting out of it this can create a problem. Listening to your partner and really trying to understand what
they are expressing and feeling is an important part also in a successful marriage. Be open in the relationship without
critizing the person for their opinions. Providing assurance and support.
Intamacy with your partner is important also, just the simplist things like holding hands, giving
a hug or a simple touch of their arm expresses you love them and care about the relationship. A marriage is about respect
and trust between each person and knowing you both are equal partners in the marriage.
